Broxton Bridge Plantation there is an old battleground

That looks like a very fun place.

Broxton Bridge Plantation offers a wide variety of hunting opportunities on over 7,000 acres of land---deer hunting, wild hog hunting, duck hunting over decoys, in addition to pheasants and bobwhite quail.

Then finally we take dogs and walk up the remaining pheasants. And if that isn't enough, everyone goes over to the Banquet Hall for a big country lunch complete with desserts, while your birds are being prepared and packaged. It takes a minimum of 8 shooters to put on a hunt, with a maximum of 40.

The full range of services at Broxton Bridge also includes sporting clays,
pistol & rifle range, wingshooting clinics, continental tower shoots, bass fishing,

All of that plus a battlefield ? Perfect spot for a long weekend.

The original earthworks there are worth seeing, and mostly intact. However the last time I was there (2012) they were starting to get run down (losing height) through the use of the original works for the reenactment itself, the four wheelers driving over them to bring in the guns and such, the site could certainly use some preservation.

Welcome to the forums. Hopefully someone will pass that info on to the owners.
