BOSTON — Work to restore one of Boston's most historic monuments is nearly complete after it was delayed because of the coronavirus outbreak.
On Wednesday, will be hoisted into the air via crane and placed onto its final position on the across from Beacon Hill.
The memorial has called Boston home since 1897, but recently water damage was discovered in the base that holds the sculpture.
On-site work continues on the marble and stone foundation. The $3 million restoration project is expected to be substantially completed next month.
