That is one rich pie, too - Forrest's favorite! I understand he can get the pecans from what used to be his old plantation in Coahoma County. He had tried switching from cotton to corn...should have planted some pecan trees!
I haven't seen one of those for YEARS! My farmer uncle had walnut trees and had a nutcracker similar to that - but there was another for the black walnuts with a funnel at the top so you could dump a bucket in. Black walnuts are soooooo hard to get out of their shells. Ah, the good ol' days!
