For Episode Seven of The Battle of Gettysburg Podcast, Eric and Jim are joined by their friend and fellow Licensed Battlefield Guide Wayne Motts to discuss the life of Brigadier General Lewis Armistead. In addition to being a Licensed Battlefield Guide, Wayne Motts is the CEO of The National Civil War Museum in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania and the author of a 1994 biography on Armistead. In 2015, he co-authored "Pickett's Charge at Gettysburg" with podcast co-host Jim Hessler.

In the episode details of Armistead's early life and military career are discussed, along with his role in the Battle of Gettysburg and his friendship with Winfield Scott Hancock and James Longstreet. Wayne also gives a unique take on the depiction of Armistead in the 1994 film Gettysburg. All this and more, plus an appearance from Bobo, the dog, make this an episode you do not want to miss!
