This was a great stop. This church served as a hospital and many soldiers from both sides are buried here. Had chills walking around here.

Sgt. William R. Brooks, Co. E, 1st GA Cavalry. 7 pages of fold3 records. He enlisted at Carrollton, TN on May 1,1862 for 3 years. Present on all Company Muster Rolls. His records say he "Died of wounds Jan. 21 1864 Russellville Tenn"

 
Pvt. C. J. Shropshire, Co. K, 1st GA Cavalry. Only 2 pages of fold3 records...an Index Card and 1 Company Muster Roll. He enlisted on May 1,1862 for 3 years. The 1 CMR is for July 1 - December 31, 1863. It says "Killed at Mossy Creek Dec. 24 1863".
