Forget the specific titles, but anything written by Chris Calkins is definitely worth your time.

1) A Stillness at Appomattox A must for any one studying the Appomattox to understand the general nature of the campaign
2) Lee's Lieutenants: A Study in Command You have to have a program to understand the players and Lee's officers are well worth the time required to read this classic

For fun reading Richard Wheeler’s book is good too.

BTW, John B. Gordon's book as well as Joshua Chamberlain are both good. The men met each other.
Sheridan's Memoirs too. Sheridan writes of riding forward and then a Confederate leveling his gun at him. Gordon wrote that it was him who stopped his sharpshooters from shooting Sheridan.
