Is there a write-up of the day's events somewhere?
Hi, Bruce--they haven't issued anything formal yet, but from what I understand, the current plan is to have artillery demonstrations at 11am, 1pm, and 3pm. The Monocacy Field Music will play proceeding those demonstrations.

I've also had some inquires from infantry units about the event, but can only refer them to the park--not sure if they have planned an encampment or other activities yet.

Huzzah! The Monocacy Field Music had a great day at the 157th anniversary commemoration of the Battle of Monocacy! We played 3 music demos at the Visitor's Center, as well as several side sessions. Nice weather made for an enjoyable and well-attended event!

Videos of some of the tunes we played are posted on our Facebook page. Enjoy!

I attended and was very, very impressed with the music group! It's not something that I would have even guessed I would enjoy, but I most certainly did.
Thanks, @rob63! I'm glad you enjoyed it! I'll certainly pass it along--I know the rest of group will be thrilled to hear it as well! 🙂
