I will be entering a raffle where the winner gets two hand colored and signed prints by Eugene Lieliprve. My reason for entering the raffle is to help the society doing the raffle, so winning is not that big of deal.

Lieliprve usually does European subjects, but also does Civil War subjects. I was wondering what our forum members think about Lieliprve's Civil War works. The two art worked in the raffle are Tidballs Horse Artillery, 2nd U.S. Artillery 1861 and Edgar's Battery, The Alamo City Guards. I have only seen black and white scans of the works.

I find Lieliprve's works interesting but they are not the usual Civil War art prints. I am sure some people see his work as a bit on the simple side. Anyway who want a print of a Texas artillery unit (The Alamo City Guards)?

So is anyone familiar with Eugene Lieliprve Civil War art? Are you fond of Lieliprve's Civil War art prints?

To see one of his works, search his name on line.
