Artist Jessica Jewett Jones has created a print of Joshua Chamberlain's home that she is selling to help fund restoration of the house and museum. Ms. Jones, 38, is quadriplegic as the result of a birth defect. She draws and paints by holding a pencil or brush with her mouth. CBS News and Inside Edition recently interviewed her about her art and the Chamberlain project. You can view the Inside Edition segment here, and her Etsy shop, where the Chamberlain print is available for sale, here.

Look at the chimneys in the print - they're decorated with the Maltese cross insignia of the Union Fifth Corps. This became the way of identifying that this was Chamberlain's original house on campus after it was rumored that this was a replacement. When the Chamberlains lived here, it was only a single story structure - following the identification, it was discovered that at some later date the house had been raised over a NEW first or ground floor and that this was indeed the original - though enlarged - house.
