Hello,
Any idea what war? date? cartridge or belt buckle? fake or real?
Has anyone seen one like this before?

It is from a collection from someone that accumulated alot of vintage military items. Since he has passed we don't know where he got it.
Any help would be appreciated.

the back reads:
Anson Mills Pat Feb 1, 1881
T C. Orndorff Sole Manf
Worcester, MA USA

Thank you!!

These were made as fantasy pieces back in the late 1970. You will see several different one such as the 7th Cav, Wells Fargo and even a Coke Cola and the one you posted.

Cool piece. The lettering on the back is not the right font or spacing for an original Mills belt plate.
