All this fuss about the Alabama and its funny to read about US built ships that affected captures during the blockade, of ships that were adjudicated, purchased by the US Navy, and turned into some of the fastest blockade chase ships the US navy had. How many ships did the Alabama ever bring into a Confederate prize port? I suspect there were none.

Has it escaped your attention, that the blockade of Southern ports prohibited any chance of a Confederate prize port?
Many of the prizes were bonded, and if the Confederates had won, would have become Confederate property.

As the Spartans would have written, "If".
