A-Frame Tent The A-frame was larger and higher, with a front entrance that closed and secured with flaps. it was used by officers or as a general purpose tent.

"A-frame" is what reenactors call it today. Does anyone have evidence that it was called that in the period? All I've seen are "common tent" or "A tent."
