Following Flag Day, here is a video about flags....
Published on Jul 6, 2016
As we’ve just celebrated the 240th anniversary of Independence Day, this episode talks about something dear to many of the Boys of 1861 - the Flag. This episode features Matt Van Acker from “Save the Flags” talking about the importance of the flags to the men who served under them. Though told through Matt’s lens of helping Michigan flags, he emphasizes how important these sacred pieces of cloth were to Civil War soldiers, whether from North or South – or East or West.
