I looked back at my notes and found;

On April 2 1995 at a local gun show I bought the Ames Model 1840 Musicians sword and on April 30 1995 at a different gun show I bought the fife from the same fellow.

The collapsible drinking cup I got in November 1993.

I got the flask on May 22 2001 on eBay from a fellow that lives in the same Canadian city that I do---and I knew him quite well.

I DON'T PLAY THE FIFE---BUT I DO PLAY THE DRUMS.

I do not have to march with my drums ---or carry a sword.

Leather Cavalry Carbine Thimble purchased on September 1 1997 from the same fellow that had the fife.
These were placed on the off-side quarter strap of the 1858 McClellan saddle, and served to steady the barrel of the trooper's carbine, which was suspended from his shoulder on a large strap with snap-hook.
