John Worsham

I believe the memoirist in question is John H. Worsham. He was in Co F, 21st Virginia, eventually making first sergeant. He was wounded and permanently disabled in 1864.

His book is titled One of Jackson’s Foot Cavalry; his Experience and what he saw During the War 1861-1865, Including a History of “F Company,” Richmond, Va., 21st Regiment Virginia Infantry, Second Brigade, Jackson’s Division, Second Corps, A. N. Va.

I was initially a bit thrown by the detail about the book coming out a century after the war since Worsham's book was originally published in 1912. However, according to WorldCat, an edition of this book was released in 1964 by McCowat-Mercer Press, so that fits too. (http://www.worldcat.org/title/one-of-jacksons-foot-cavalry/oclc/3528541?referer=di&ht=edition).
