Independence Day Bonus:
:giggle: What a story!

3.
Now’s the time for me to ask my questions, see if your up to the task,
What was the month and the date this happened? this is the 1st question asked. - July 9, 1864
The Rebels ran when they saw us coming - how they did flee,
Our job done and we were successful for our home state of Tennessee.

When you’re fighting you must think fast and be ready to go,
let’s give 3 cheers for our awesome leader - - Colonel James Patton Brownlow!!

Bonus:
1) July 8-9, 1864
2) Indiana (72d Indiana Volunteer Infantry of The Mounted Lightning Brigade) Colonel Abram Miller

Edit - While there are sources that indicate an Indiana regiment also crossed the Chattahoochee and mounted an attack while not wearing clothes, the question was in the form of a song, so name of the correct state would have to rhyme with the end of the previous line "how they did flee."
