I will be touring this area next year, so I appreciate the reference material (marked and catalogued) I always get a twinge of sadness whenever I read anything by the irreplaceable Brian Pohanka.

Thanks for posting this. Second Bull Run is one of my favorite battlefields. I still have my copy of Return To Bull Run, one of my favorite books. I managed to save it from the fire and the flood. The 5th gave fantastic stand against the odds, they paid dearly for it. This battle has many heroic vignettes, Brawner Farm, Railway Cut, and other places that stand out, in this defeat. It is very good. Sheer luck I saved. I think it just got some moisture damage. A good read. I only wish my pictures had survived.
