The 24th Virginia Infantry was in Kemper's Brigade. This map will get you close. He probably fell between the Emittsburg Road and the center of the Hall-Harrow Line. The 24th VA was the right-most regiment of the brigade. Stannard's brigade moved forward and enfiladed Kemper's right. The 24th VA would have taken the brunt of that action.

Was he any relation to the 2 other Shockleys in the company, Captain Martin V.B. Shockley and Private Richard Shockley?

In any case, William Shockley was shot in the neck and, based on that, he was almost certainly shot between the Emmitsburg Road and the wall south of the Copse of Trees. My best guess is somewhere along the east-west line between the Codori buildings and the Union line.

The 24th Virginia was the far right regiment in Kemper's Brigade and didn't actually attack the wall. Instead, they maintained much of their formation and actually wheeled to the right in order to face Stannard's Brigade as it swung out to flank the brigade. It was a futile move may have bought the Confederates to the north a few minutes which allowed them to make it closer to the wall.

They are all my kin.

The 24th Virginia passed just south of the Rogers place, then bore to the left with the rest of the brigade. Company H was deployed as skirmishers and took a separate path more directly forward, separating itself from the regiment. A couple of maps show the regiment's positions at 2:53 p.m. as it crossed the Emmitburg road, and again at 3:03 p.m. as it neared the Union line and was compelled to help defend the fully exposed right flank of Pickett's division.

My casualty list for the 24th:
Albert, Jacob A., 2Sgt, F/24 VA, W (wounded) gunshot flesh wound upper third of right thigh-hip (Gunshot-GS)
Austin, Charles F., H/24 VA, 3 July, W lying down when a shell exploded very near him, grape shot [canister] entered upper third of left thigh, striking bone but not fracturing it (Artillery-A)
