Answer
Women can be feisty when push comes to shove,
what they’ll do in this war for the men they love.
Elizabeth White was the leader proving this “so” true,
when she went north for supplies, doing what she “must do”.

Kate and Betsie Ball were sisters, willing to tackle this plan,
and along with Annie Hempstone, to Maryland they ran.
The times were tough in the south in July of sixty-four,
and as life was desperate, they were ready for this chore.

How fortunate to be alive when hoop skirts were the fashion,
to enable them to take risks with dedication and such passion.
Today they never would be able to take such a chance,
for how many boots can you carry in your yoga pants?
