Back in the olden days, 1960's) the Shiloh National Park had a guide book which provided more information and included the Putnam Stump on the vehicle tour. These booklets are out there but I have not searched as I still have mine from my Boy Scout's days as we hiked Shiloh several times.

I found this online version and thought many of y'all. especially those who live far from here, would enjoy looking at materials from "back in the day" that have survived.
Regards
David

I have this somewhere from when my Grandfather took my brother and me to Shiloh (our first battlefield) in the 1960's during the Centennial. Grandad is gone but the good memories live on.

Thanks for this! Older guide books frequently have information later books may have dropped, anecdotes, personal stories, lesser visited spots, etc., - some very good stuff in them.
