158 Years Ago Today-Buford Enters Gettysburg

Very cool! Only thing I'd note is that Buford rode a white horse named "Grey Eagle" at Gettysburg. I think the dark brown/black horse comes from the movie Gettysburg.

I did not know that. Another case where "following the money" explains a lot.
If you look online at enough reproductions of Kunstler's work you will plainly see very obvious portraits in his paintings that depict Elliott, Martin Sheen, Stephen Lang, Tom Berenger, Jeff Daniels, etc., etc. not only from Gettysburg and Gods & Generals but also The Blue And The Gray and probably other films as well. His common soldiers have a tendency to look more like reenactors than Don Troiani's much more realistic depictions too.
