152nd Anniversary of the Battle of Fort Stevens

If you're in the DC area on Saturday July 9. 2016, come by and see the USCT, the 54th Mass., and the 61st Pa. in a free living history event from 10-5, commemorating the only Civil War battle that took place in Washington, DC. Although it's not a battle reenactment, there will be small arms demonstrations, field music, civilians in period attire, and National Park Service rangers on hand to educate the public about the battle, which took place on July 11, 1864.

See the NPS website for more information, and see you there!
