I had the opportunity to visit the 12th Annual Corinth Civil War Relic Show and Sale yesterday bring it was very good. The best part was being able to visit with friends who are members of CivilWarTalk. The show was promoted by the Colonel W. P. Rogers, Sons of Confederate Veterans, Camp # 321 at the Crossroads Arena.

Ashley and Kevin, @MS2623 and @16thAL , as always were gracious hosts and great company. We had a mini reunion of the Shiloh Muster 2020 group with @ucvrelics and @redbob participating in the Show. Richard had a large selection of items many of which are extremely rare. Bob had a beautiful selection from his collection including a display of the tools a gunner would use in firing his cannon. I just missed seeing @DixieRifles as he had just left as I arrived.

The true highlight of the show was Richard's replica of an 1841 Field Gun that he and Bob drove to Pennsylvania to secure. The carriage was made by Richard and involved hundreds of hours to make and finish. Rumor is that the whole trip was made from Birmingham to Pennsylvania and back with only 1 stop at a Cracker Barrel!! Horrors of horrors there were no fried dill pickles or hush puppies to be found for the entire ordeal!! Possible law suit pending!

David

A good sized crowd was there when I arrived about 10:30 am and a great display of Civil War related items were on display and for sale.

The Smoke City Bruise Brothers were the stars of the show and even drew General Grant to visit with them!

Bob had a very interesting table that dealt with artillery, of course!

@ucvrelicys also known as "Ole Pure of Heart" had by far the best exhibit of relics for sale of the whole show! Richard displayed only a small sample of his collection that is available for sale at his web site UCVRELICS.com.

The only downside to the weekend is we only got one car alarm
If have to remember that every time it goes boom it cost $18 and when I increased the powder load to the level to set-off car alarms it goes to $24. We fired 12 times so do the math.
