Answer: Robert A. Toombs

bonus Answer - “Combining two adjacent cemeteries together, Bellefontaine Cemetery & Calvary Cemetery,[St Louis, MO] there is no place on earth where more Union and Confederate generals lie at rest in such close proximity. More generals who commanded armies during the American Civil War lie here than are buried at Arlington National Cemetery and West Point combined.”

Edit - The words "who commanded armies" were omitted from the bonus question that was posted. The list of Civil War generals is very long. The list of generals who commanded armies in the Civil War is much, much shorter.

I assume that the person who composed the above statement did enough research to ensure that more generals who commanded armies during the Civil War are buried at Bellefontaine and Calvary than at Arlington National and West Point. However, when the words "who commanded armies" are omitted, the question is open to the interpretation that it was meant to include both those generals who commanded armies and those who did not.

According to the source posted by Michigander in post # 31, it is not true that there are any two cemeteries with more Civil War generals in total than Arlington National and West Point. Therefore, my ruling is that the question was misleading. All those who played, even if they didn't post an answer, will get credit for a correct answer to the bonus question.
