A part of the third floor front of Ford's Theater collapsed, killing 22 people and injuring many more.

"Two days later, at the time Edwin's casket was being carried from the Little Church Around the Corner in New York City, there was tragedy at Ford's Theatre. A 40-foot section of the front of the building collapsed from the third floor killing 22 people and injuring many others."

I haven't found the date of Booth's funeral, after reading a number of online biographies. He died June 7, 1893.

This event happened the date of his death, which probably was not the funeral date.

Interesting, but not an "eerie coincidence."

"An article in the Boston Morning Journal, reporting on Booth’s funeral, contains the first known printed narrative of the rescue"--referring to Booth's saving Robert Lincoln from being run over by a train in late 1864 or early 1865.

I can't confirm that this publication occurred the date of the funeral, but at least it is an "eerie coincidence," so I'll go with this response.

On June 9, 1893, at about the time Edwin Booth's casket was being carried from the Little Church Around the Corner in New York City, a 40-foot section of the front of Ford's Theater collapsed from the third floor killing 22 people and injuring many others. https://rogerjnorton.com/Lincoln41.html
