Powers Hill Quarry Cumberland Township Adams County Pa The source only states that the quarry provided the base of the building not specifically the cornerstone. That was hard to find. I did learn that the Philadelphia architect Stephen Decatur Button who designed the gatehouse also designed 2 existing buildings in Montgomery, AL and the original State Capitol Building in Cahaba, AL. http://www.cumberlandtownship.org/?page_id=292
Abraham Lincoln was not a member of a church

Regarding the First Presbyterian Church in Springfield, IL, sometimes called the Lincoln Family church, Abraham Lincoln did not formally join the church, but his wife became a member on April 13, 1852. Their two-year-old son Thomas (Tad) was baptized in the church on April 4, 1855, and his funeral was held there on July 17, 1871. http://www.abrahamlincolnonline.org/lincoln/sites/pew.htm
