What famous orator, who subsequently delivered a rather lengthy speech in Pennsylvania, was a candidate for Vice President of the United States in 1860?

Edward Everett (1794-1865). Everett is best remembered as the long-winded orator who spoke before Lincoln at the Gettysburg National Cemetery dedication, but he was also John Bell's Constitutional Party running mate in the 1860 National Election.
