Valley Railroad Essex Ct.

I found the vintage VHS video production titled "The Civil War: The Wilderness Re-Enactment Essex CT May 4&5 1991." Done by Broadcast Video Productions, 337 Elm St., Deep River CT 06417 (203) 526-3109. I had forgotten this was so long ago. One of my fellow Confederates I was with showed up two years later in the "Gettysburg" movie. I recognized his slouch hat and beard during the Pickett's charge scenes. So I watched the video, hadn't seen it in years. It's actually pretty entertaining/worth watching when you consider it's all Essex and it ain't Hollywood either. And some of it is laughable/hokey. But it was 1991 after all. I was in the first day's train riding/ and later skirmishing in the woods. The locomotive used in the production is the 3025 you show pictured. I remember the train station very well also. That's an Amtrak stop. Maybe this place in Deep River still exists and they have this VHS video on DVD now. The old steamers are great!!!!! Nice to know that Essex takes care of them so well...
