The battle if Front Royal happend in early May of 1862. Jackson sent his Marylanders to clear out the town, and they met with union Marylanders and fought house to house through the town. This action ended with the burning of the double bridges across the north and south forks of the Shenandoah.

At this point we are in need of yanks!!! One of the larger units participating has backed out. If you are willing to do union we could use your unit. Thank you.

I am not crazy about street fighting, but if it was part of the original battle, so be it. I really screwed up my ankle in a street fight once, all but broke it. I have done some WWII street fighting before, and I much prefer it. I like the sound of the battle.

Last year we even had canons on the street. It was awesome even though they were using half charges.

I don't know if the National Regiment or Army of the Potomac (1861-1865) would be able to scurry to the event but, I do recommend getting a hold of Brigadier General Brennan or Colonel Mark McNierney and for the AotP, Major-General Brian Withrow. The Buffsticks - 3rd US Regular Infantry, Co. "K" is committed to Fort Ward that weekend.

Respectfully submitted,

Getting closer to the event and yet no solution to the yank problem.....
We have the same problem down here, it's almost required to not only put together a CS kit but a US kit as well as soon as possible so we can galvanize when needed. Cool video, somehow I missed it when you first posted it. Hope you have a great event this weekend. I'm counting down the minutes till I head to Gettysburg.
