My ghost photo of my trip in May, '14 to Gettysburg

hahaha and since I hadn't scrolled through all of the comments...the other photo of the horse rider is clear as well to me!

Hello,
I also believe in the paranormal I have masters degree in paranormal studies , Parapsychology and
Occult science's and have my own group. you all have some GREAT STUFF!! I understand that most of you
may not be trying to get ghosts photos but if I may add my 2 cents.
  1. MAKE SURE YOU GET FULL weather report I can post a form we use if that's helpful
  2. Cloud formation's odd as it may sound it can and will cause shadows and reflects in the right conditions.
  3. Take 3 of the same shot DO NOT MOVE. Even a 1/16 of a inch can completely make a difference.
  4. Remember ghosts are 24 a day 7 days a week but a anniversary date and time make a difference
  5. Don't ask for a name..Really in these sort of places their could be 100 johns smiths.
  6. Don't ask things like what is today in the situation your in its silly and ineffective.
  7. Ask them what they want to tell you
  8. Don't ask do you know who won the war THE ANSWER is NO!! they are still fighting...
  9. Their reality is different than yours.
  10. They see site as it was NOT AS IT IS...
  11. Ghosts can and will come home with you PROTECT YOUR Self
  12. Any place is good by water is better.
  13. When you hear a noise its already too late take pictures in that area
  14. Have a few people spread out in different directions you may get more
  15. There ARE not nice ghosts don't be aggressive most people don't want to die
  16. I have no idea why people ask this next stupid question ~
Did you suffer long before you died ? OF COURSE they did ...they did they died on a battlefield.
A better question is there something you want to tell us
share with us
give a message to us.

Trees the bigger fatter the tree the older it is. IAM NOT SAYING that there any trees from a battle
that still stands but even a tree that started after the battle can still hold memories'
Trees absorb negative feeling from human and turn them into positive energy
IT IS believed though that battlefield's take longer to cleanse / rid of the negative
energy there for other trees then do the left over as they grow anew.

There are trees from the time of the battle on the Gettysburg battlefield and the town, some that were already pretty old at the time. There's the Sickles tree across from the Trostle barn, the Devil's Den tree at the top of DD, a sycamore in town in front of Mr. G's ice cream shop, the honey locust in the National Cemetery, and the God tree on Culp's Hill--and at least 1500 to 2000 more. I have been to many of them; we are lucky on this forum to have Goberg, who is cataloguing them. And while I am in awe of these trees and what they've "seen" in the battle, I haven't ever experienced anything paranormal around them. I think I scare the spirits--I can't even raise them in the Triangular Field.

Check this thread for witness trees.

OK, here is a photo I took on Oak Ridge.
Been away a while and didn't know this thread was so active. I missed any notifications.
Took me a while but I think I saw it, but a little to the left of center unless you're talking about JUST the wood line. Anyway, yes, a grey or even white horse, looking to the right. As for the figure on it I couldn't tell what or who. Could be just s trick of light and shadow as mine could be but interesting non the less.
As for the rest, somehow I missed the bridge when I was there last year. 6 days there and there's a bunch I missed.
Anyway, one of the pics I must say looks like the sun, but others do have orbs in them. A lot of e not. Some are really bright, some really faint, and of course in between, and with different sizes.
When I took my photos it was to document my trip, to remember as it were for I know I'll probably never make it back. As stated I didn't see the anomaly at first. It was 2 months plus later that I noticed it.
Glad this is/was a humane discussion, even with the usual skeptic/non believer statements as to why not.
Touch of background for me...I spent 4 years in my house when I had it of taking video and stills of orbs, and a few EVP's
after my wife passed. After you do something like that you learn the difference between lens flare, dust, bugs, etc.
And for one here, I think if you take ghosts seriously and respectfully, especially at a battle field, it only enhances the historical aspect, not diminish it. A lot of people died in the 3 or so mile stretch of land, even before the Civil War.
Unless you're a total non believer it's only common sense that there would be spirits of some kind or other lurking about.
Respect of who they were, or are...makes all the difference.
As for cameras making up things instead of capturing what is there....you mean if I take a picture of a dollar bill I could see a hundred of them? Hmmmm.

This is not a Gettysburg Ghost Photo but a Ghost Photo taken at Monks Hall, Syleham U.K. which captures the image of Lt.Col. John Leader. He died on Feb 5th 2008 and this photo was taken a few days later in his house:
Lt.Col Leader.jpg

Lt.Col Leader was a Veteran of WW2 and commanded the 16th Punjabi Anti-Tank Regt in Burma against the Japanese.
Apparently he also taught the Italian Dictator Mussolini how to play Table Tennis; his ploy, ensuring Il Duce always just managed to win, was so successful that all Fascisti Party Branches were told to buy table tennis tables !

Too out of focus to have any comment. I will say the whole UK is a hot spot. I started writing someone in England and the personal stories she's come up with, along with naming most of the hot spots hear her are numerous indeed.

Sorry that my picture came out the wrong way around ! It may be out of focus but I can 100% recognise his face as the Man I used to know ! Furthermore I visited his son a bit later and whilst talking to him I physically felt a double tap on my shoulder and this was in the same room the picture was taken ! Spooky for sure !

Then you are another believer. I've never seen anything with my eyes and only heard a voice waking me up once. Sometimes I think I feel a touch on my shoulder. The person I write to is in Lancashire and she told of a story of her granddaughter wave goodbye to her father/grand dad.
Gettysburg has too many accounts over the years not to be something to it.
Anybody know when and where the first sighting at Gettysburg, for lack of better terms, was?

The interesting thing here is that we welcome believers and non-believers to this forum as a place to share and chat. I love the convo guys!

I think the figure you're seeing in the OP is the seed head of a weed. Look in the foreground of the picture and you'll see a bunch of long stem weeds, out of focus, but it looks like the shaft of one of the weeds is bent to the left and it's seed head is the body you're seeing. Being out of focus really helps. I saw the figure too until I took a closer look at the out-of-focus forground.

Do you have any filter on your camera lens? I'm not a photographer, but maybe a polarizing filter would reduce your flares.

I do believe in spirits. My mother says she saw my father a few years after he died. She was about to back her riding mower into her car and he appeared and told her to stop. My cousin moved into my grandmother's house after she died. One day my cousin's son was slamming the kitchen cabinets and my grandmother appeared and told him to quite slamming the doors. Both of these actions represent the actions these people would have done in real life.

Like I said at the time I didn't know this was THE Triangular Field. I zoomed in more and notated what I see. Dead tree or brush is what I first saw but when you look at the whole picture this is the only spot this discoloration is in the frame. Plus it looks to be a bit in front of the trees, not much, but some. And most "real" investigators are also skeptical. Wouldn't present something unless I was at least 90% sure of what I'm seeing. Don't want to give nonbelievers an open door to ridicule. I am not a "professional" investigator but have spent 4 plus years now on my own.

Wow...I see what you see (the arrows help). Sign me up as a believer

Call me a skeptic. Everytime I've watched this video I see a light flash off to the right and then the figures appear. It's like a video on a loop.
I'll have to watch it again and get back to you...it sent shivers down my spine. What's interesting to me is it doesn't look like a projected image...there literally seems to be a figure/figures walking through the trees, navigating them, but appearing and disappearing and repeating the movement. As you say, as if on a loop. Maybe it is a soldier, destined to repeat those same movements caught between this world and the next. Now, I'm sending shivers up my own spine!
