Here's a couple of "mini-men" Vikings I made. For historical accuracy I resisted adding horns to the helmets but can't for the life of me remember why I added the hunchback
Both are approx 3 inches high.

Very nice! I do wonder tho opposed to the historical- if you killed animals with horns would you not have to decorate with them?

I think any horn or antler decorations would be a hindrance on any raid and would make it likely to get hung up on any brush or building entrance . It also might be a problem snagging on things on the longship.

I always assumed they wore horned helmets too, but from the many accounts I've read they didn't. here's one link.

I added the hunchback
Well, those poor guys were probably more common than any "horned" Viking helmet at a pagan gathering in Northern Sweden during the late 9th century.

I think everyone now knows the real Vikings looked more like William's troops at Hastings in 1066, than the Victorian paintings of giant half naked Scandinavians . . . with horns attached to a basic iron/steel helmet.

But as usual.
Great painting @rebel brit !

*Since many Vikings of the era had surnames that reflected their physical characteristics (Pepin the Short, Eric the Red, etc.), I suggest you give these guys names. For instance, the one holding his sword could be named something like "Thorfin the Fishbreath", and the hunchback, "Swen the Lumpy."

I know these are supposed to be characters of humorous figures, but they are really well done and you could almost release them as busts.

Colour Sgt Bourne.
Such a great film !

Zulu is one of the classics.

Michael Caine and Stanley Baker were brilliant.
Their underlying "who should be in command" dispute was as entertaining as much as the battle scenes.

BTW, great job with the miniature.

I wish I had the same talent !
