Hello everyone!
I'm look for a kind fellow civil war reenactor to be willing to allow me to borrow a copy of
The Civil War Musket: A Handbook for Historical Accuracy by Craig Barry. I know this book is out of print, and the price of $900.00 used is not what I want to spend. I tried inter-Lirary loan but libary of congress refuses to lend because they only have one copy. what to do? Anyone please?

Hope someone can help you out friend, there are many excellent books like this that are nearly impossible to find. I wish this was not the case.

Contact the author; @Craig L Barry; maybe he has a couple in his closet he'd be willing to sell you for half price.

Unfortunately, both editions of The Civil War Musket A Handbook for Historical Accuracy (2006, 2011) have been out of print so long that I don't even have a copy of either one anymore. Same with The Unfinished Fight Volume One and Volume Two (2012, 2013) books. I hate what used book sellers do in these situations. All proceeds from those particular books went to battlefield preservation, but even if you wanted a copy badly enough to spend that much...none of that money is going to go to battlefield preservation.

Is there a specific question you had on historical feature modifications to your reproduction musket that might be able to be addressed by posting it here?

I really want to read as much as I can about these muskets. So having a good reference book like yours will be invaluable to my collection. Is it possible for you to have it published with Amazon Kindle and you control the price and give the money to battlefield preservation? Just a thought? The setup for the kindle publishing is very simple I think you just submit the book in PDF format.
I did find one copy for sale around $100.00. So I may buy it. Buy in general I don’t have a specific question about defarbing or modifications at this moment since I’m still deep into researching. Thanks to everyone for the replies!
