I will probably check it out. As I'm not a fan of the network... I'll watch with caution.

That's fine. I stomached the talking heads on Fox when it had some of the Civil War shows. If I could manage that, you can manage this.

I can't stand them either, and that dang O'Reilly that Fox, and many viewers still do worship, did unmeasurable damage to history with his "Killing" series of books amongst the general population.

New is news, and no news station anywhere ought to get into history telling.

Did anybody watch the first episode of the Lincoln: Divided We Stand series? I thought it was pretty good. The first episode focused on his early years from 1809-1849.

Good on CNN for airing this!!! That being said... I shouldn't have gone skiing yesterday because I fell asleep before it started. I'll catch up and then continue.

I missed it. Had to re-home our bunnies due to the cold. I thought I had it set to record, but nope. Now I have to wait a week unless I can find it online somewhere.

For those of you concerned about a liberal tinge to this particular documentary, have no fear, Fox has its own conservative dueling documentary on FoxNation called "Lincoln: A Nation Reborn". H.W. Brands is a part of the Fox documentary. Don't know much else about it but caught part of an interview with Brands promoting it.

I have watched 5 of them so far--and I am recording 'em all-- and I have been disappointed w/ it so far.

The bad picture selections; esp. pics of Fort Sumpter totally destroyed during the opening bombardment in 1861?? Those pics had to be from... a minimum close to 1865 after it's was diminished by the Feds, or retaken by them danged blue bellies...

Incomplete explanations of almost every phase of the War....I had a flash back of Ken Burns every five minutes. ; )

But I'll watch the rest anyway as I am sadly also, a glutton for The Late and "Present" Unpleasantness of Hollywood's view of the War. And almost all the k-rap they throw into the video trenches.
