Regimental Book Club?

This is just an idea I had last night and thought I would throw it out for discussion - what if we formed a Regimental book club to read regimental histories and either discuss them on the forum or perhaps even get together on Zoom or some other platform to talk about them?
Spectacular idea! I was considering asking this very thing.

There is enough on my bookshelf alone to talk about. Just to note though, many books are not merely regimental histories, but are just a big composite of the whole brigade.

Duty, Honor, Valor: The History of the Eleventh Mississippi Infantry by Stephen H. Stubbs covers somewhat different ground than By the Noble Daring of Her Sons: The Florida Brigade of the Army of Tennessee by Jonathan C. Sheppard.

That's not a bad idea. Maybe flip sides with each reading. (Union one time, Confederate next.)

Good idea - we could also switch theaters of war, with units that served in the eastern, western, Trans-Mississippi, etc.
Just take an East-West course. Virginia Theater to Western Theater to Trans-Mississippi Theater.

Hmmm, but what state should we start with? Union or Confederate first? Maine or New York? Virginia or Mississippi?

I have a lot of reading going on for graduate school, but I would be game. I would love to read a USCT regimental history for Massachusetts, I am sure there's a few out there...
