This is a figure by Jaguar that I started a few years ago. I had misplaced an important part that I finally found in December so I finished it up last week. This resin figure is 120mm ( 1/16th scale) and I painted it in acrylics. It was obviously based on a print by a famous historical artist who was none too happy with figure makers who based their kits on his work.

After the war, Gordon went on to serve in the U.S. Senate and also was elected as the Governor of Georgia. He also wrote a book about the Civil War in which he stated: “As for the South, it is enough to say that perhaps eighty per cent of her armies were neither slave-holders, nor had the remotest interest in the institution. No other proof, however, is needed than the undeniable fact that at any period of the war from its beginning to near its close the South could have saved slavery by simply laying down its arms and returning to the Union.”

Kurt - excellent work on one of my favorite generals. You captured the essence of a statement by one of his men when he said ...”He’d put fear in a barn yard rooster jut’ to look at ‘em.”

You may be overlooking that part of your own screen name.

Great Job. I would think the painting is the most important part.

I appreciate the link. Now if I can find the time, it should be an interesting read. I saved the link.
Lubliner.

It is an interesting read. A few years back, one of my work colleagues thought about me before throwing out a quite well-preserved hardcover copy. There are benefits to being known as the Civil War nerd.
