Possible civil war era. Nice patina.
Thanks. I love well worn stuff like this with some mystery.I am not an expert in regards to it being from the Civil War era but it is a very cool looking knife and certainly old. I like the look. Thanks for showing it.
Thanks. One army navy token and the other is actuallt an 1864 penny. They are both patriotic tokens. I believe the Indian one is 1863
It does look like a cut down sword or bayonet blade, with two sutler tokens nailed on either side. I will defer to the Puller, since he collect this type of weapon, as to authenticity.I almost think that token is a Sutlers token. But trying to see via my phone I can't quite tell perhaps someone more knowledgeable can chime in The blade almost looks like a cut down M1855 sabre bayonet. I own a similar item that is a cut down M1842 socket bayonet on an ash handle and have since seen another similar from a cut down Brit socket bayonet commemorating the Crimea war w/ a Brit Penny as part of the pommel.

The loupe shows a common token. The blade is out of my area. Thanks for the input!I almost think that token is a Sutlers token. They are both CW patriotic tokens. The 1864 Indian Princess Head will have Our Army on the back and the Army Navy could have several different back. On the have blade and its hard to tell as the end of the blade is in the shadow but I'm leaning Field & Staff officers sword blade with the fuller and it having a double edge. Its hard to tell but it does have a slight curve at the end like and F&S sword. What is the width of the blade and the fuller? The loupe shows a common token. The blade is out of my area. Thanks for the input!
Compare the attached images and you will see the 1864 in a token and not a penny. top is a token and bottom is a pennyThanks. One army navy token and the other is actuallt an 1864 penny.
