Beauregard supposedly haunts this house though he only lived here for two years after his second wife, Caroline died.

However, his ghost has been spotted in its General uniform wandering the rooms. Also, apparently fallen soldiers who fell at Shiloh appear there and apparently one guest had a full conversation with a soldier at a garden party, only to learn later that no one with that description was at the party.

Apparently there are sometimes sounds of music and dancing and echos of a grand ball that Caroline planned but never happened. Beauregard went off to fight at Sumter and she died of illness and they were never reunited on this earth again.

I never went to this house. Has anyone been there and can they report anything?

Been there severals time in daytime and have walked by many times after dark.
No ghosts to report.
Your chances of spotting a ghost is probably better across the street at the old Ursuline covent.

And while "we" are in the neighborhood, Jimmy Buffet lost his virginity in what was a boarding house right around the corner.

Now you are talking "Holy Ghost"

So, this house actually has a reputation for having an extremely violent history that has nothing to do with Beauregard reliving the Battle of Shiloh or anything else connected to the American Civil War.

Google the name of this house along with either "Mafia" or "the Black Hand."

So what???

A house just down the street has a much more horrifying history.
Not for anything that happened there, but for WHO lived there.
Who is this scary person ?

Richard "sweatin' to the oldies" Simmons. Yikes!!!
