A calling to all ye masterminds of civil war history. I would like to find information on Captain Lott's Company Carroll Dragoons Louisiana Calvary. I did an internet search to find out some details and I found very little information. Perhaps there is a book I could read to get a better understanding.

I am interested in what happened to the men and if they commonly fought with another regimen.

Carroll Dragoons Company Calvary. Organized under Capt. Arthur J. Lott in 1862. Moved to northern Mississippi and assigned to 2nd Mississippi Partisan Rangers Regiment as company B October, 1862. The remnants of the company were later transferred to Minden Rangers Calvary in May 1865.

That's interesting about moving to Mississippi. The family I am researching was originally from Leake Mississippi and moved to Carrol LA for the 1860 census then joined up. I wonder if there were many from Mississippi that joined up.
