Recent Find Relics From A Confederate Parole Camp "Buttons"

The river has receded for a few weeks but it was not before I had 3 feet of water in the house which is a total loss. I have been trying to salvage what I can but its just depressing and then add this virus. Here is a drone shot a friend sent me of the area where my place is. It is a mess but I will get thru it.

I’m so sorry to hear about your flood loss. I had no idea. Thoughts and prayers for sure.

One of the things that this CS camp has produced is BUTTONS. I have found more buttons in this one section then you can shake a stick at. Most are civilian but there have been many CS buttons come out of the ground. Most are the solid cast block I cast type but there are some some tin backs as well as few North Carolina, Mississippi buttons. The civilian bone buttons can only be found after they plow and it rains and they come from an area I believe is where the privies are located. I love founding buttons. The fields have been plowed so its time get it done before the cotton gets planted.

Thoughts and prayers.

Impressive!
Thanks, I'm hoping the the other 3 camps (springs) will produce as much as the Miss camp. I will always go back to this one as I'm still on the hunt for the other end of this piece which was found about 20 feet from the Miss I button.

Hello I’m new to this site. You have some great finds here! I’m curious about the 6 items on the bottom right in the first pic? I recently found the 5th one if your looking from left to right. Do you know what it is?

They are watch keys as back in those days you had to put the key into a hole in the face of the watch in order to wind it as the top wind had not been invented yet,

Way to big for a watch key. I have dug quite a few in my day and all are smaller than a dime.
Back to my original guess.. knee buckle lol I just really thought they looked the same based off your photo. Thank you for replying

What is this particular relic/button? It caught my eye and looks to be in a shape of a flying bird? Thanks.

I don't really know what it is as it may be French as one of the original French settlers house site is at the same spring as this camp.
