Illinois "Spring of '64" national scale event

Is there like a secret society you have to be part of to get any information on this event?

I see the typical blurbs about firewood and straw, but that's not really what I'm asking.

What is the event actually going to consist of?

All everybody has to say about it are the sad, old reenactor cliches like "it's going to be epic!" and "you don't want to miss this one!".

I'm aware of the "campaigner" elements being raised for the event, but if the event is being touted as a mainstream event with a campaigner element, what is that going to consist of? Sitting in a field waiting for the 2PM battle as opposed to sitting around a bunch of common tents?

Is the entire event going to be based around battles and tacticals? Personally, I considered tacticals to be an outdated part of reenacting, but I understand that some still enjoy running around and burning powder.

Also, with no less than two authentic living histories going on the same weekend, I'm somewhat concerned about numbers, particularly on the Federal side.

I really wish the organizers luck in this, but it seems pretty nebulous at this point. I think if there was more information as to what exactly the event is going to consist of, there may be more of a serious interest.
