I need help identifying this musket.
This was past down to me from my dad. I've always been told it was his great great grandfather's during the civil war. Union soldier.
I've been told it's a 69 caliber. Smooth bore. Its overall length is 45.5 inches. Barrel length is 30.5 inches. The side plate has "Nasfe" in cursive. I'm not sure if there are more letters that have worn off. The stock is stamped with "F 416". The buttplate is stamped "2813".
Any guidance would be appreciated!
Found some proof marks. Pics aren't the best but maybe they will help someone.

Welcome from Tennessee. That is a beautiful weapon. Along with its ID I would be interested in the type of wood the stock was formed from. Thanks,
Lubliner.
Not sure what wood the stock is made from. I'm going to take it to a reputable dealer when I get back to Murfreesboro.

Beautiful gun - welcome to the forums from the host of the Stonewall Jackson Forum!
