Formerly known as the Civil War Naval Museum when it was in a different location along I-20 adjacent to one of Vicksburg's many motels, this institution has renamed itself for its current location inside Vicksburg's ca. 1900 railroad station along the riverfront. It still contains many wonderful ship models like these cutaways showing the ironclad ram CSS Arkansas above and the gunboat USS Cairo below.
Although there are literally hundreds of models of all kinds on display, many of them postwar including aircraft as well as ships - and one lone Tiger tank! - the centerpiece of the museum is the huge model/diorama showing the siegeworks. Most of the figures appear to be British Airfix Union and Confederate infantry and artillery along with other 25mm wargame figures of unknown manufacture deployed on terrain that includes the most salient of salients, while skimping on less well-known stretches of the lines.
Note the "caves" dug into the hillside of the ravine above next to the wartime Shirley House, seen to better advantage below.
