I agree that this looks like Long Lane. I was last there maybe 10 years ago and that 5 high fencing fits. I think I only walked it twice on my visits. There is a house peeking out on the left corner so I would think this photo is in the area of today's Long Lane road as this fence runs parallel to it. I recall it makes a right hand turn after it crosses Stevens Run but I don't remember any buildings in that area.
I almost fell into a swamp at the end of those fences on Long Lane!
I do want to throw an accolade to Pam. Her photos are always outstanding with great composition and color. I thoroughly enjoy her photos here and on Gettysburg Facebook pages. Although I do question her sanity too for being at one of the most scenic, historic and important battlefields in America and taking a picture of a VINE! @pamc153PA, you have spent too many hours in the classroom!
Thanks, @Wallyfish. I have taken photos on the battlefield of more obscure and weirder things than a vine, believe me. And yes—I HAVE spent too much time in the classroom! But after this year, I’m done!
I have an old photo of my wife standing at the rock formation on Wright Avenue. But for the life of us, we couldn't remember where it was located at when it was on "where is it" a month or two back. So that will be one of the stops.
