PERFECT weather as thousands turned up on both days! The Confederate camp was down in the village this year so mostly civilian pics from there. There was even an authentic period wedding on Sat. and a baby dedication on Sun. after services in the church! I walked into Yankee town only twice  The two Yanks I'm in the middle of are @drezac on the left and @Mrs. V son on the right. @Mrs. V is pictured at the head of the church leading the church congregation with her songbird voice! Many people took pics of me revealing my "contraband" but I failed to have one taken for myself so I've attached the last one from last year of me in front of my old spy screen harassing Pres. Lincoln for you to see! LOL I have plenty more pics but chose these as a microcosm for you to enjoy!

Thank you for posting these! Someone, I forget who took video of me singing, and said she’d send it. When it posts, I’ll put it up here!
I can't wait! I wanted to take one too but we just got too tired and Nick wanted to leave a bit early to get home. So glad someone else did!

I had the very great privilege of doing the song leading for the congregation..I just happened to be in the right place, and the minister, bless his heart, took on faith that I could sing. I believe he was pleasantly surprised. That service was, Wow. Just Wow..North and South Ministers reading...so inclusive, it really moved me. And then the adorable baby! Squeee! Mom was so busy packing baby stuff n gown n bonnet, she forgot her own shoes! I didn’t look to see if she wore her borrowed shoes, I was too focused on the joy.

The minister was Colonel Skip Wilson of 4th Virginia PACs. He's a kind sweetheart and if we need anything he's our go to. Him and Nick yuck it up all the time. We keep saying we need to go to see him preach in his church in Valley View however we wonder when he ever is there because he's usually gone on the weekends reenacting. LOL

Can you tell him I will be at Zoar? He did say we would sing together again..

Great pictures all of them! I especially like the big kids on the stilts, the column of horses coming in, and the close-up of the trench and the soldiers in it - that's one of the most realistic ones I've seen. But the stilts picture is very cheerful and sweet and carefree!

It was nice to meet you @Belle Montgomery , @Mrs. V , and @Western Reserve Volunteer . It was a great weekend - few bugs, no rain, relatively cool, both battles went well, and no real casulties.
It was wonderful weather. i met so many nice people there as well. I heard many compliments on your Battery, and the fine job you all did Saturday and Sunday during the battles. As a spectator, I can tell you I was thrilled both days with the artillery work. You know, it’s hard to plug your ears when you are holding a parasol in one hand, and a reticule and basket in the other, right? :bounce:

Great pictures! Hale Farm is a great event. I haven't been able to make it for the past few years, but I always had a good time in the past.
