SIM Game War of Rights video game

Which are worth buying?
Really depends on what type of video games you like to play

There's the serious Real Time Strategy games like Ultimate General: Gettysburg and Take Command!: 2nd Manassas

You have a few First Person Shooter games like Darkest of Days has a lengthy series of levels set in the Civil War and War of Rights

Then you have the casual turn based Hexwar series, covering 1861 to 1865 (these are my favourites and I would recommend em to all)

Naval simulators like the Ironclads series

Just take a browse I'd say, if you play less than two of hours of a game and don't enjoy it. You can request a refund from Steam (don't go crazy with that though, Steam will refuse em if you send to many)

I'm dating myself again, but who cares? LOL My favorite computer games were by an Australian company, Strategic Studies Group (SSG), I spent hours on both the C-64 and Commodore Amiga versions of Decisive Battles of the American Civil War Volume 1: Bull Run to Chancellorsville, Decisive Battles of the American Civil War, Volume 2: Gaines Mill to Chattanooga, and Decisive Battles of the American Civil War, Volume 3: Wilderness to Nashville.

I think they're still available as "abandon ware." Lots of great memories...

I would like to give this game a go, but only use my pc for the internet and work so it not set up for high end graphics, hopefully it makes its way to consoles.

I would actually really recommend Darkest of Days, actually. It's not all ACW, but there's enough for me, plus it was doing WWI way before Battlefield. Would have really liked to see a sequel to it. It came out 10 years ago too, so it's not too demanding, though I believe it requires Nvidia.

Agreed, I have this one and it's really good. I have a few nitpicks with it myself, but it's a good game.

I got very accustomed to the control system on total war and have to adjust to this, but Total war was improved over a decade of releases and with a bigger budget. I have only played this a few times but am impressed so far.

Struggling with WOR as expected, looks a great game. I got a bit of time on the range but can’t see a battle working. It looks very detailed.

I've had a lot of fun with it over the past couple of years, but it can definitely be frustrating at times. How much fun you have with it really depends on who you're fighting with. Organized companies are a real blast to play alongside with.

Boy, graphics have come a long way since Robert E. Lee, Civil War General which was the last Civil War based game I played back in the nineties! I like strategy based war games but I don't get the time to play them like I used to.
