While reading General John Buford a Military Biography by Edward G. Longacre tonight I read about the Battle of Brandy Station. Longacre seems to be a fan of Buford and praises him for his actions at Brandy Station. However, I am a bit sceptical.
Buford seems to have done a reasonable job at the Battle of Brandy Station, but I am not sure I would call it a great job. I was wondering if other historians give Buford as much credit as Longacre.
