Model 1860 Cavalry Sword possibly confederate?

Hello,

I have this model 1860 light cavalry saber. It has no distinguishable markings on it except for a couple numbers on the hand guard and pommel. The pair of numbers on the hand guard appears to be 96, while the one on the pommel appears to be 93. The blade is worse for wear, but the scabbard is in good shape. A pair of clamps can be seen inside the scabbard when I used the flash of my camera. I can't find any particular marks that would hint at a maker. I'm hoping to find out who the maker was and which side of the war it would have been used on. I also may sell it, so if anybody knows a ballpark range for this, it would be appreciated. Any information about this would be helpful. Here are some pics. You can scroll down at this link to see several pictures of the sword: https://imgur.com/a/LnGlLFw

I can tell you that it is NOT a CS manufactured sword as it has a stopped fuller. Looks like someone has abused the blade.

Ah, ok. Does it appear to be authentic though? Also, is the scabbard confederate? I was informed that the clamps within it were indicative of confederate swords. Also yeah, the blade is in pretty awful shape.

I know next to nothing about swords and sabers, but I think I'd be proud if I owned this one. Whether it's CS manufactured or not doesn't change my feeling.

Nope, There is nothing about this sword CS. Sorry

Union then, or is it just an outright fake on all accounts?
I didn't say it was a fake unless who ever sold it to you said it was CS. It is a model 1860 but with no makers marks its anybodies guess.
