Hello,
I have this model 1860 light cavalry saber. It has no distinguishable markings on it except for a couple numbers on the hand guard and pommel. The pair of numbers on the hand guard appears to be 96, while the one on the pommel appears to be 93. The blade is worse for wear, but the scabbard is in good shape. A pair of clamps can be seen inside the scabbard when I used the flash of my camera. I can't find any particular marks that would hint at a maker. I'm hoping to find out who the maker was and which side of the war it would have been used on. I also may sell it, so if anybody knows a ballpark range for this, it would be appreciated. Any information about this would be helpful. Here are some pics. You can scroll down at this link to see several pictures of the sword: https://imgur.com/a/LnGlLFw
Best Regards,
