Can anyone give more information on this flag?

Apparently, from what I've seen, this is an ensign of a Blockade Runner, is this correct, and if so is there anyway to know which Blockade Runner flew this flag?

Oh, wow... I'm not even sure where to begin. Obviously, that's not something the runner would have actually flown nearly anywhere-- she would have been under the colors of her owners (principally British). Government-owned runners would have had government flags (and also sailed under neutral colors). So this really couldn't have been anything except a "house" or shipping line flag, IMHO.

The piece itself is obviously a modern reproduction. Where did you acquire it?

My immediate thought was also that it's a modern reproduction, but I didn't question it further. It's an interesting design. It'll be fun to learn more about it.

It's modern, and looks to be very recent at that. It's not any official Confederate pattern, and I think it's likely a modern mashup of the Battle Flag and the First National. It's very similar to the Mississippi State Flag, in which the upper stripe is blue.

While the flag is a modern made flag the design is not as its the same design as the one below I just acquired which was made in 1901 for the Scott Statham Camp of the United Confederate Veterans. Mrs. Dudley who was the sister of Col Statham made this flag and presented it with much fanfare to the camp.

This isn't mine, but I bought one from here:

Certainly looks modern to me. If it where original fastening it to a wall with screws and washers would be a sacrilege. Reminds me of a display of original CW era money I saw in a museum that was scotch taped to the back of the display case, Sacrilege I say!
