We all know the one with wings would not be myself. Image is called " The Three Graces ", famous dancers, albeit pre-war. We'll take it, with a welcome newest host and we're graced to have her.

Like no one had enough trouble with two us, @Northern Light has taken on the job as host here!! Well, we're a huge topic, just ask the next girl you see. Impossible to cover what half the population was up to while the other half was shooting at each other. Heck, some of us joined that part, too. Very pleased to say welcome to Northern Light, a member always ready to share what she knows, has the endless interest required and does it ( love this 19th century term ) engagingly.

Much welcome, and thanks very much for taking on this job.

Finally a thread dealing with my expertise! I have 2 little sisters, 2 daughters and 2 granddaughters so I figure I have been participating in tea parties since 1955! I have no idea of how much tea and cookies I have consumed over the years but it has been pleasure to attend each and every party! And yes, I have had my nails painted every color of the rainbow and when I had hair, it was fixed with barrettes and bows! Fathers of little girls are pitiful! No pride!

Congratulations Northern Light for becoming the Hostess for the Ladies Tea Forum. Us girls look forward to more to learning about life on the home front while the men were at war. I know a little about the trials and tribulations experienced by the Southern women, by my living in Mississippi, but very little about the experiences for those women in the North. I fully realize that death, maiming and physical and mental scars were devastating to everyone but am interested about other aspects of their lives. Food shortages, pecuniary issues, manpower shortages etc.
Regards
David

Sorry to derail the thread, this is just SO funny!!! I have a lurking suspicion you're all big softies. Only person who can turn her father to goo is my husband's 35 year old daughter- you just never get tired of watching it. Yes, you're all pitiful and don't change!

JPK, I bet you did the same with your Daddy!
Regard
David
