Photos from Olustee 2019

@captaindrew ,

Your Lady has done an excellent job of preserving images of this event!

I'm only sorry I could not be there, as it looks like you all had a very good reenactment.

Job well done to you and your fellow reenactors.

Sincerely,
Unionblue
Still have a couple good events coming up, hope you can make it out again sometime.

Looks Like a Good Time was had by all. I can smell the cannon smoke from here. How many total folks were there?

Taking a wild guess but I'd say about a thousand reenactors or a little better. The organizers say they usually expect 12-1500, not sure if there was that many but a good turnout none the less this year.

I am transferring to a Florida Chapter of the UDC. It is the General Bulloch Chapter in Ocala. I know some of these ladies go to many events.

My husband is going to join the SCV. There is one in Lady Lake and another here in Ocala. We went to Lady Lake meeting. Just mentioning these as didn't know if you, Captaindrew knew these groups.

We have a couple SCV members in our group from east coast chapters. I'm honestly not too familiar with the SCV groups. One of them puts on one of our events coming up next monty at Narcoose which is near Orlando and always a nice event.

I will be in the Jacksonville area later this week, or perhaps next week, or perhaps even the week after that. I stopped at Olustee for a half hour a few years ago. I will have a couple of days to kill while I am there, should I try to send half a day at the battlefield?
It would be a nice place to visit. Also, make a stop at The Museum of Southern History on Herschel St. You will be glad you did!
